West Bay Marina is a quirky, friendly, accommodating spot, with an active liveaboard community and beautiful views of the state Capital Building, Mount Rainier and the Olympics. Built in 1961, and then rebuilt in 1995 after burning to the ground, it offers 400 slips (100 of which are covered), a family friendly restaurant and bar, and a variety of fun activities.

” Sailboats attract the loons and geniuses among us, the romantics whose boats represent some outlaw image of themselves. We fall for these things, but what we’re slow to grasp is that it’s not the boats but rather those inexplicable moments on the water where time slows. The entire industry is built on a feeling, an emotion.” — Before the Wind by Olympia’s own Jim Lynch

Whether you are just joining us for the day to rent kayaks or paddle boards, hosting your wedding reception in the Viewpoint room, or staying with us for the long term as a liveaboard we hope that you will make yourself at home.
